Maurizio Cutolo

Prof. Maurizio Cutolo is full Professor of Rheumatology, Director of the Research Laboratories and Clinical Academic Unit of Rheumatology at the University Medical School of Genova and Director of the Academic Postgraduate School of Rheumatology at the University of Genova.
Prof. Cutolo was also Chairman elect of the EULAR Standing Committee for Education and Training (ESCET) (2008-2012) and president of EULAR from 2013 to 2015 and Executive President of the annual EULAR Congress ROME 2010.
In 2006 Prof. Cutolo was appointed as coordinator of the EULAR-ESCET task force on “Learning Tools” in Rheumatology. Prof. Cutolo is member of the EULAR task force on “glucocorticoids” from 2005 and of the EULAR Scleroderma Trials And Research (EUSTAR) group from 2004.
Prof. Cutolo’s main clinical and scientific interests are systemic sclerosis,
videocapillaroscopy in sistemic sclerosis, neuroimmunoendocrinology of the rheumatic Disease and glucocorticoids.
Prof. Cutolo is the author of more than 500 papers indexed on PubMed. He is advisory editor of Arthritis & Rheumatism, associate editor of the Journal Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology and editorial board member of: Annals of Rheumatic Diseases, Neuroimmunomodulation, Clinical and Developmental Immunology, Reumatismo, Autoimmunity Review, Journal of Autoimmunity, and Acta Reumatológica Portuguesa.
